Sicilian shells tricolore, produced with the 100-year expertise and passion of the Barbagallo family. Pasta from durum wheat semolina with tomato and spinach powder. Conchiglie are very good with thick sauces, but can also be baked. Made from high-quality Sicilian durum wheat and processed from wheat grain into pasta within 24 hours. Wheat milling and pasta production take place in one line, a unique process. Where previously the spaghetti was dried on wooden racks in the village, it is now done in the factory itself. This still happens very slowly at a low temperature of 50°C to 65°C so that taste, odor and nutrients are retained. That is now traditional pasta “con amore e passione” from La BIO IDEA.

All produce for La Bio Idea products is grown by family farms in Italy. Angelo Barbagallo is a passionate pasta maker. He is constantly working with 15 people in his factory to improve processes to preserve or increase the quality of the pasta. A perfect combination of traditional tradition and contemporary knowledge and technology. The taste of the pasta remains the most important thing. We are unable to post out chilled, fresh and frozen lines – these are available for collect in store only.
